2017 Holiday Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop

Hey there crafty peeps!  It's the most wonderful time of the year... and the Craft Hoarders are back at it again with the 2017 Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop!  You should be arriving at my blog from the very talented Patti Hamil's blog, if not, head over to the beginning with Gloria to catch all of the wonderful projects!

I have created a lovely Thanksgiving card to send to my family this year since we will not be able to spend the day with them.  All of the products are from Fun Stampers Journey.  All of the supplies will be listed at the end of the post with links.

I started by stamping a 2.5"x 5.5" piece of Journey Splash cardstock with the leave stamps from the Artful Leaves stamp set in clear pigment ink.  I then heat embossed them with Gold Journey Embossing powder.  I colored all of the leaves in with Liquid colors in Candy Apple, Fresh Forest, Orange Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, and Pretty Amethyst.  Once this was dry, I added a layer of Clear Sparkle Silk to all of the leaves for an added touch.

I took an A2 size piece of Pretty Pansy cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Fall Text Embossing Folder.  I then rubbed Gold Pan Pastel over the embossed panel to make the impression stand out.  I stamped a thin panel of the Journey Splash cardstock with sentiments from the Happy Fall and Harvest Wreath stamp sets in Candy Apple and Dark Roast Fusion Inks.

I adhered the leaf panel to an A2 card base made of Pretty Pansy cardstock.  I then took the embossed panel and cut it into two smaller panels.  I popped them up with foam squares and adhered them to the card base.  I adhered the sentiment panel to the bottom of the card.  I finished the card with a bow made from Gold Twinkle Trim and Whip Cream Thread.   Finally, I added a Nature Button to the top.

I am so Thankful for the continued support from all of my blog followers.  I have decided to do a little giveaway.  All you need to do is comment on this post telling me what your favorite holiday tradition is.  I will randomly draw a winner from all of the comments at 10:00am CST on Black Friday November 24th.

I hope you enjoyed my Thanksgiving card today and have been enjoying the other stops on the hop.  Head on over to Pam Bray's Blog for her project and leave some love.

Coloring Media/Inks: Liquid colors; Clear Pigment Ink; Candy Apple; Dark Roast; Gold Pan Pastel; Gold embossing powder; Clear Sparkle Silk

Beautiful card, loving the embossing and vibrant colors. It is hard when you can't make it home for the holidays but I am sure having a relaxing day at home with your love ones will be enjoyable. Hugs

A gorgeous card you created. I love the bright bold colors. As to holiday tradition favorite I think it is when our family all go together to see the children's Christmas program at church.

Great job with the gold and coloring! Love it! Our family was never big on traditions, and neither was my husband's. We usually spent Christmas eve with extended family, enjoyed a quiet morning with the kids, and then went to a movie every Christmas in the afternoon. I love time with family, but gets more difficult as families grow and get older!

What beautiful coloring on the pretty leaves! And I love the embossing folder you used as well. I think my favorite holiday tradition is getting together with the ladies in the family to bake Christmas cookies at my Mom's house.

What a colorful, fun card! I love the embossing and button with twine. My favorite holiday tradition is baking chocolate bark and cookies with my two little girls. I let them go crazy with all the frosting and decorations and they have a blast!

Love the combo of dry embossing and heat embossing on this gorgeous card! Your color choices are so dramatic and beautiful. My favorite holiday tradition is making all of my cards and tags for Christmas. I also donate a big stack of cards to local nursing homes for them to pass out to residents there who really appreciate a handmade card.

Of all the stained glass type cards I've seen in my time, this is by far the most refined and elegant. I'm gobsmacked! Just stunning.
I don't have that stamp, but I'm determined to find it and create a similar card to send out NEXT YEAR!
Thanks so much for the clear and concise little tutorial - I'm going to bookmark and use it!
Beautiful card.
