Pretty Flowers Thank You

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a fabulous Thank You card I made using the new Many Thanks stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and some beautiful ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I started by cutting an A2 sized piece of white cardstock and matting two pieces of patterned paper on a diagonal to it.  I left a 2 inch gap in the middle and stamped my sentiment in Versamark ink.  I then heat embossed it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I took 3.8" Aqua Double Faced Satin Ribbon and wrapped it around the top and bottom of the white gap on the card to create two borders.  I find ribbon so versatile.  You don't have to just make bows with it.  It can be used for string to attach tags, borders on cards, bindings for mini albums, flags, banners, and lots more!

I stamped several of the flowers in Altenew Frosty Pink ink and Sno Cone Die ink from My Favorite Things.  I then stamped the leaves in Fossil ink from Simon Says Stamp.  I fussy cut them all out and layered them to form a bouquet on the card.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to the flowers and Clear Shimmer Pico Embellisher to the centers.  Finally I finished the card with sequins in aqua, pink and clear.  I hope you enjoy this simple yet pretty and feminine Thank You card.  Have a wonderful day!

Sizzlin' Summer Challenge

Hi there Crafty Peeps!  It is time for another challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Bonnie is challenging all of us to use the theme "Sizzlin' Summer plus ribbon" to create something fun.  We are looking over any fun summery themed/colored projects with ribbon.

I decided to create a card with a few new products I picked up and some beautiful Orange Sheer Organza Ribbon with Satin Center from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.  I stamped the Magnolia Flower from Ellen Hutson in Versamark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then water-colored it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I cut it out with the matching dies.  I stamped the background in orange, pink, and yellow with a Stampin Up stamp.  I placed the flower on the card and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink in the corner.  Finally the sash and bow that was created with my Bow-It-All tool went across the top.
Come join in the summer fun over at the blog.  Have a wonderful day!

Vintage Garden Birthday

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am popping in today to share a card I made for my mom's upcoming birthday using the Vintage Flowers stamp set from Altenew and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I stamped some of the flower images with the new Altenew Crisp Color die inks and filled in some of the color gaps with other inks from my stash.  This set is an "image builder set" so several images are stamped on top of each other with different shades of ink to create the final image.  I fussy cut out the two main flowers from white cardstock and popped them up with foam dots.  I covered all of the blooms with Clear Wink of Stella. The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from an Old Simon Says Stamp set.  I added some sparkle enamel dots from Doodlebug as an accent.  My sash and bow were made with Sheer with Four Satin Stripes Ribbon White ribbon and the Bow-It-All tool.  I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!

Really Reasonable Ribbon June Blog Hop

Hi there crafty ribbon lovers!  Today is the day for the June Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The design team and I have cooked up some beautiful projects with the new Summer Fun Assortment ribbon kit .

If you are following along you should have come here from Ginny's Blog.  If not, head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start at the beginning.

I decided to use a new stamp set just released from Lawn Fawn called So Jelly to create a Father's Day card .  I thought the ribbons in this kit would coordinate perfectly with the tropical theme of the stamp set.  I stamped and colored the images in with my Gansai Tambi watercolors onto Canson 140lb cold press watercolor paper.  I added some clear Wink of Stella after they dried.  I then cut the critters out with coordinating dies.

I created a blue ombre ocean backdrop with Tim Holtz Distress inks in Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon, and Tumbled Glass onto white cardstock.  I cut it out with a nesting die set from MFT.  I also created a frame out of the same white cardstock with the same die set.  I die cut waves from MFT translucent velum with the new Lawn Fawn Waves die and layered them on top of the backdrop.  I cut out sand from MFT Natural cardstock with a SSS stitched hill border die and placed that on the bottom.  I then stamped my sentiment onto the sand which is from a Clearly Besotted stamp set.  I then added my critters to the scene.  I added some translucent enamel dots for bubbles next to the critters.  I finally added my frame to the top.

I cut out Lawn fawn patterned paper with a MFT stitched Blueprint die and matted it onto a Natural cardstock base.  I then wrapped Checkerboard Satin Turquoise ribbon and Summer Fun Diamond Print Grosgrain all from the Really Reasonable Ribbon June kit around the matted base.  I then added my underwater framed image to my base with foam tape.  As a final touch I added a knotted ribbon tie to the top of the frame with the same Really Reasonable Ribbon mentioned above.

I really like how this card turned out.  I hope my dad enjoys it when it arrives in the mailbox on Father's Day.  Now head on over to Bonnie's Blog which is the next on our hop.  Have a wonderful crafty day.

I stamped several of the Magnolia images in Versamark ink onto Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock and then embossed them with White fine detail embossing powder.  I then water colored them in with my Spectrum Aqua markers and Gansai Tambi watercolors.  The sentiment is from another Altenew stamp set which I stamped in Versafine ink onto white cardstock and then fussy cut it out.  I wrapped Ivory Burlap String around the watercolor panel and placed the sentiment over it with foam tape.  I also created a bow with the same string.  I then adhered the entire panel down to patterned paper mounted to a white A2 top folding card base.  I hope you enjoy this simple but pretty card.  Have a wonderful day!
