Humour?

It's time for another challenge at the Craft-Room Challenge Blog.  This fortnight we are sponsored by The Stamp Man.  Mervi is hosting and she is challenging us to make a card with a little humour in it.  My card is more "punny" and cute that really funny, but I think it still fits.

I used a stamp set called Toadally Awesome by the now closed There She Goes Clear Stamps.  I never got a chance to use the set when they were still in business, so I decided to pull it out now.  I colored the little frog up with my Inktense pencils and my water-brush.  The paper is some older paper from MME.  The twine and button are from MFT along with the pierced square die used to cut out the image.  I finished it off with some sequins from my stash.  I hope you enjoy! Head over to the blog to join in the fun and be entered for your chance to win a great prize from our sponsor.

Transport

Hi everyone.  Today I am featuring a CAS card I created as inspiration for the newest challenge we have over at the Craft-Room.  Our theme this fortnight is transport.  I decided this was the perfect opportunity to use a stamp set I picked up a while ago called Perfectly Perfect Day by Avocado Stamps.  The patterned paper is from Chickaniddy Crafts called Date Night.  I colored the balloon with my Copic Markers.  I sprinkled on some Color Shine Spray in Tropicana Teal for an accent. The rhinestones were from my stash.  I hope you enjoy it, and join in the fun with your own creation!  Have a wonderful week.

Blingy Springtime

Hi everyone!  Today I am showing you a card I created for our fourth challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous.  Can you believe that we are up to challenge four already?!  Time certainly flies when you are having fun.  Gloria is challenging us to create a project that includes sparkle, glitz or glam from our hoard.  Our sponsor for the month is the wonderful company Graphic 45.  They are such a great company and their paper and staples are to die for!

I chose to make an Easter card with a digital vintage Easter tag I had purchased a while ago from a very creative lady on Etsy.  You can find her shop here.  I used papers for the card itself from Graphic 45's Sweet Sentiments collection.  The flowers are mulberry paper flowers that I also purchased from Etsy.  The doily, linen, lace, pearls, and seam binding ribbon are all from my hoard and I have had them for several years.  I thought this would be the perfect time to put them to good use.  I inked all the paper edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The cardstock is Grapesicle and Whip Cream cardstock from MFT.  I added some sparkle to the flowers on the tag with Stickles.

Please head on over to the blog and see the other amazing inspiration from the DT members, and of course join in the fun!

CC Designs March Release Review

Hi everyone!  I created a cute little card for the March Release Review at CC Designs today.  I used the adorable new Fluffy Bear Stamp set and the newest Doodlebug collection of papers called Springtime.  I stamped on Copic X-press It blending cardstock.  I colored him with my Copic Makers and fussy cut him out.  The ribbon, twine, button, and pearls were from my stash.  The Cardstock is bubblegum cardstock from MFT.  I hope you enjoy my card and the stamps can be purchased right from the CC Designs store.

The 20th Century

Hi all!  Okay better late then never I guess.  I have been gone for a week on a vacation from the cold winter of Minnesota, so I had a little catching up to do.  This is the card that I created for Zoe's fabulous new challenge "The 20th Century" at the Craft-Room.  Our sponsors for this challenge are: Tando Creative.  One winner drawn at random will get a surprise parcel from Di the owner/designer.

I actually purchased this stamp by mistake about a month ago.  I thought I was ordering another G45 stamp from the new Botanical Tea line.  Much to my surprise, I really loved the set when it showed up in the mail, so I decided to keep it.  When Zoe chose the 20th Century, I knew this classy lady would be perfect.  This stamp set it from the Couture line from Graphic 45.  Isn't that quote from Coco Chanel the best?!  I stamped the image onto watercolor paper.  I colored her up with my Distress Markers and a water-brush.  The ribbon is some blue satin ribbon that I have in my stash along with the yellow pearls.  The little flower is a blossom from Prima.  The paper is from Graphic 45's Bohemian Bazaar collection.  I added some sparkle to her feather plume and jewelry with Stickles in True Blue.  I hope you like it, and will join in the fun!
