Catch A Wave Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!  It was so rainy here this weekend that I had plenty of time to spend in my craft room.  I made this card for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #82.  I was so excited to use this little surfer dude for the first time along with some paper that I picked up a month or two ago.  The paper line is by Authentique, and it is called Fresh

I colored the surfer's face, hands, and feet using my Spectrum Noir markers.  His suit and surfboard are paper pieced using the same paper line.  I decided to fussy cut him out, so I could pop him up with dimensional adhesive.  The file tab and waves border dies are from MFT.  The flower is an SVG file from SVG Cuts that I cut out using my eCraft.  The hemp twine is from MME.  I machine stitched the papers for each layer with white thread.

The inside was finished using all of the same material as the outside.  I hope you enjoy this card.  It was certainly a lot of fun to make.  Of course, it is hard not to have fun with the wonderful products MFT puts out.  Please leave and comments or questions below.  I absolutely love hearing from everyone that visits my blog.  Have a wonderful week, and as always stay crafty!

Get Well Soon Lab Cutie!

Hi everyone!  I was given the task of creating a "Get Well Soon" card for one of the ladies I work with in the Microbiology lab.  She is having knee surgery at the end of the month, and she always does so much for everyone else, we thought she needed a little TLC this time!  A group of us are making freezable individual serving meals for her to take home and just reheat when she needs them.  I made a mean batch of my slow cooker chili that I hope she will enjoy.  Well, enough rambling and on to the card!  The layout is for the TSG166 Sketch Challenge

The DP is from MME's Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 collection.  The card base was made from Kraft cardstock.  The adorable little laboratorian is from the TSG Cutie Pi collection.  She is stamped on Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock from Crafter's Companion with Versafine Onyx Black ink.   I colored her using my Spectrum Noir markers. I used some Diamond Glaze on her goggles and test tube.  The sentiment is an old sentiment from SU.  I embossed the background with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.  I machine stitched the middle band.  The ribbon is vintage seam binding from Ribbon Carousel.  The little flower is a tissue flower from Colorbok.

The inside was finished using the same materials.  I left a blank space for everyone contributing to sign.  I hope you enjoy this card.  Please leave any questions or comments you have below.  I love hearing from everyone that visits.  Have a wonderful week and stay crafty!

Paper and Trim Haul Video

Hi Everyone, I posted a quick haul video on You Tube of some products that I ordered from Scrapbooking Warehouse and Montana Misfits (Page Maps).  Hope you enjoy and are having a wonderful week!

Cupcake Wishes and Sprinkle Dreams

This card was made for the MFTWSC80 sketch challenge.  I recently purchased this little cutie from MFT, and I was inspired to use her this week!  For the card base, I used Kraft cardstock.  The DP is "Pretty Party" by Crate Paper.  I colored her using my Spectrum Noir markers.  The top of the cupcake is paper pieced using the same great paper line.  I added some sparkle with my Stickles to both the cupcake bottom and top.  I wanted to create the feel of a foil cupcake liner.  The twine is from MME and the round embellishments were created using my Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio (Round 14).  I created the scallop border using my MFT Scallop Border Die.  I then embossed it using my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

The inside was finished using all of the same materials.

I hope all of you enjoy this little creation.  Have a great week, and as always stay crafty!

Scent-sational Birthday!

Hi Everyone!  I am SUPER excited to be posting this card today.  I created this card for the TSG164 sewing and stitching challenge this week.  This is the first card/project that I have done using my sewing machine, and I have to say I think it turned out rather well for my first time.  I am using the SSSC162 sketch for this card.  The adorable stamp set is from TSG, and it is called "Scent-sational".  I am so excited to say I won this stamp set from their July Blog Hop Challenge!  I was beyond excited when I saw my name listed as the winner at the end of the release party.

I stamped and masked each image to create a layered scene, and then cut them out with a spellbinders die.  All of the images were colored using my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I will list the colors at the bottom of this post.  The paper line is "Loyal" by Authentique.  The border was created using the MFT Jumbo Squiggle Die-namics.  The rose is made from cream felt, and was cut using the Large Rolled Rose Die-namics.  I placed a fabric florist leaf behind the rose for a realistic effect.  Of course, I finished the card off with a little Stickles bling on  birthday packages and the skunks ears.  I also added a little diamond glaze to his eyes to make them sparkle.

The inside was finished using all of the same materials.  I really hope you enjoy this card.  I had a blast making it.  It truly was a labor of love today.  I wanted to make TSG proud with the generous gift I was given.  I hope all of you are having a great week, and stay CRAFTY!

Catch a Wave!

Hi Everyone!  Boy it has been a while since posting on here it seems.  The week has been so busy with the 4th, I feel all turned around.  This little card I made for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge #79.  I just love this little PI Surfer Chick from MFT!  I also used one of my new banner dies from the Surf's Up VIP collection to make the banner.  The yellow cardstock is from Core'dinations.  I once again used my We R Memory Keepers Down the Boardwalk 6x6 paper pad.  I really love the weathered beachy look this paper line has.  The faux stitching was stamped using a CTHM set called Simple Stitches.  I made the flower from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die called Tattered Flowers.  The center is a decorative brad from Theresa Collins Everyday Moments collection.

I colored the little girl's hair and skin with Spectrum Noir markers.  I will list the exact colors at the end of this entry.  I paper pieced her wet suit and the surf board.  Of course I could not leave it without some stickles, so I added some to the flower and the board in Crystal.

The inside was finished using the same materials.  All of the paper was inked on the edges with brown chalk ink from Studio G.  I hope all of you like this little card.  Please leave any comments you wish to leave.  I always love to hear from you!  Have a great week and stay crafty!
